Sèvres plate with blue ribbons and flowers, circa 1799

Assiette unie

Ø 24.8 cm

Sevres, interlaced RF and painters mark fx for Françoise-Philippine Descoins (1781-91 and 1793-1801).

The decoration is stated as being Ruban bleu, jasmin et souvenirs.

According to the artists list 203 it is probable that this plate painted by Mme Descoins belongs to the service delivered on the 17th of January 1800 to the Maison Lemercier et Compagnie.

A substantial part of the service was donated to the Louvre by baronne Salomon de Rothschild in 1922, minus 3 dinner plates and 15 shaped pieces. One plate is in a private collection.

A rare opportunity to own a plate from a service in the Louvre.

Two small restored chips and areas of re-gilding.
