Sèvres green-ground plate probably from the Laborde service, 1775

Assiette à palmes

Ø 24.5 cm

Interlaced Ls, date-letter x for 1775, painter’s mark three dots in a line for Jean-Baptiste Tandart (active 1754-1800), gilder’s mark B for Jean-Pierre Boulanger (active 1754-85).

This pattern was originally produced in 1761 for the service given by Louis XV to the financier Laborde (Peters 61-2). Laborde purchased a large supplement in 1783, and may have bought further elements in between. At any rate, there is no other obvious candidate.
